QUICK REVIEW
Unisys
doesn't have a VR product per se. Instead they form partnerships
with existing VR vendors. They did the statewide system for Minnesota with
election.com. That system turned out to be a failure (it's the same system
Accenture is using in Pennsylvania). (see my Accenture
page and user notes from Minnesota for the connection).
Unisys is currently partnered with Quest of
Indianapolis and they are working on the statewide system in Virginia. As
of November 2007, their Virginia system is not doing well and is riddled with
problems and complaints by administrators in Virginia. As is typically the
case, these large systems integrators don't understand the vertical market and
aren't dedicate to it. As a result, most of the work is full of cost overruns,
shoddy programming, poor support leaving a trail of dissatisfied clients in
their wake.
